Ladies' Tee

Ace of the Month – As you may recall our Divot print deadline falls before all the games have been played for the month, so I am reporting for September. Our Congratulations go to the September Ace of the Month, Charlene Korn! Charlene shot a 75 to win the honor for the month. Great job, Charlene!

October Events Wrap Up

Play for Pink Breast Cancer Tournament was played on October 4th with all proceeds going toward cancer research. This is a tournament that is held throughout the nation and 100% underwritten by such donors as Bloomberg, which means everyone’s $100 entry donations were tax deductible. So everyone all around came out winners! The pink outfits were a hoot – from Bill Danola’s pale pink plus-fours to Kris Charton’s and Pam Blakeley’s long Zandra Rhodes-style locks and pink tutu’s. Everyone rose to the occasion and gave us their version of pink eye candy - lots of fun! There was a constant line for a photo op with the lovely Hooters Girls who were causing lots of smiles!
And the winners were -

Men’s Division-
Two Best Balls flight – was won by
1st – Adam Zuffinetti, Tom Lewis, Bill Murphy & Gary Macek
2nd – John Blakeley, Bill Miller, John Cambon & Paul Woody

Women’s Division-
Scramble Format – was won by
1st – Mickey Burgess, Judy Roberts, Rose Weeks & Carolyn Singer with a 55.2
2nd – Dee Swanson, Diane Culp, Sioux Colbourne & Kathy McElhinney with a 64.1
It was great fun on the course, and afterwards the awards were accompanied by cheers and high-fives. The food by our new chef, Joey Rojas, was a big hit!

Ladies Classic Invitational at RSFGC was held on October 12 & 13. It included 2 rounds of golf, a cocktail party, shopping, a hole-in-one prize and more. One or 3 guests could be invited. There was lots of golf, cocktails, prizes – and even better, shopping!

The Home & Home Tournament is played this year with Shady Canyon Golf Club in Irvine. Hope you’ve signed up for it –
The first of 2 meet ups was Wednesday, October 19th at 9:00a.m. at Shady Canyon (100 Shady Canyon in Irvine 92603).
The 2nd meet will be Wednesday, November 9th at 9:00a.m. here at Rancho Santa Fe.

Women’s Member/Member 2-Day Eclectic is being held Tuesday, October 25th and Thursday, October 27th.
Tuesday schedule is by tee times, and Thursday is 8:30 Shotgun with Lunch at 12:30. I’ll report on that in next month’s Ladies’ Tee.

And the fun never stops this season! So many enjoyable events being held at our Club.

Upcoming Events for November

Tuesday, November 1st – Par 3 Day & Turkey Shoot combined into one event –18 holes of Par 3’s! All holes will be from 10 to 100 yards! Lots of fun, and always a challenge (for some of us anyway!). Hope you signed up in the Ladies Locker Room. There will be an on-course contest, Par 3 cash and Thanksgiving prizes. And a Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet in the Veranda Room will follow golf.

Tuesday, November 8th - The Magic of Motown – Ladies Guest Day. Shotgun at 8:30, with lunch and awards following golf. Format is Two Better Balls of Four. But the best part is the Motown Dress Up (maybe optional). Do you remember what you were wearing when some of those famous Motown recordings were popular? Go dig it up from the deepest corners of your closet! And then invite your friends (1 or 3 guests) to partake in some fun and let’s show off our beautiful Club.

The RSFGC ladies are having so much fun we would like other members to join in the fun! If you have any golfing friends who haven’t joined us yet, please invite them to one of our Tuesday Game days and introduce them to what fun they are missing; for example, one of the Par 3 Days that are so popular! All handicap ranges are welcome and it’s a wonderful way to expand not only your golf skills but also your group of friends. Call Deana Ingalls even if you want to play 9 holes and just check out the group! Deana can be reached by phone or email: 619-888-2800 or dcarter@carterfinancial.biz.
