Men’s Golf Activities

As I write this note the 1'st Annual Rancho Santa Fe Men's Match Play Championship is in full swing. In true Rancho style & tradition, the field was not settled until the last day but members stepped up, committed & we started the tournament with a full 32 man field. The first & most of the second round are completed & we will be down to the final four by November. My goal for next year is for a field of 64 players.

The Game at the Ranch is November 3'rd to the 5'th & has a full field of 48 member guest teams, however, we are still looking for more teams for our standby list as we always have some attrition. The event was really well received last year with a great Thursday which includes the par 3 event followed by drinks & great food while the real competition begins Friday & Saturday.

Also, don't forget that the Victor Mature Thanksgiving Classic is coming up soon. This Thanksgiving Day event has been a longstanding Rancho tradition & pits the golf shop professionals against the other golf operations staff. The teams are as follows:

Derek Lane will personally take all donations & keep track of the bets so even if you can't attend please donate & support the golf staff (cash is preferred, as anything on Member bill is taxed) and 100% goes to the Golf Operations Staff.
